Our 7th grade son has had tutors from Monterey Tutoring since last year – he had Sara for Math last year to get his grade up (which he did) and he has Alex now for Spanish to get him caught up in his new school. They both are young, well educated and enthusiastic tutors who send us progress reports as well as recommendations to our son’s teachers. Barbara, who is the director of Monterey Tutoring, stays in touch as well to make sure we are happy with the progress he is making. They are all friendly, and they take Paypal which is helpful for us. We love Monterey Tutoring.

My sons grades improved after the first week of meeting with Teryn who was always prepared for the next weeks assignments. She was quite resourceful and had an excellent, effective way of explaining all subjects to my son. Working with Grace during the summer for reading assignments and note taking proved very successful when school began. Barbara and Sara of Monterey Tutoring are the absolute best! Barbara listens to each persons needs and matches you with a tutor that understands the subject matter, as well as the learning needs. I am an adult learner and needed help with college math, and Sara has come to my rescue. Not only is she super smart, but she is patient and teaches in such a manner that I understand the higher order concepts. I will use Monterey Tutoring for Statistics and would highly recommend them to anyone – if you have a child who needs help or an adult I feel confident that Barbara herself can help or someone on her team.

If you are looking for the best tutor in Monterey, then you must call Barbara!!! We tried many different tutors for our daughter who had problems with geometry in the 9th grade and found her the best person as professional tutor who knows the subject and who easily makes connection with children and adults! Barabara always find the time and day when you need her and she calls back or emails us when you ask her to call you or email. Our daughter loves her tutor and we are happy she is our tutor!!! If you want to help your child Barabara is your angel!!!

Barbara has been tutoring my 1st grader in Reading. He was having a very hard time figuring some of the concepts out. Barbara was a patient person, who was able to figure out different ways of teaching my child, that I had not figured out yet.
